Which Flooring Is Right for Your Space?
Hardwood is the classic choice for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining rooms.
Luxury vinyl plank looks like wood, holds up to water, scratches, and pets, and costs less than real hardwood. Great for kitchens, basements, mudrooms, and homes with kids or dogs.
Tile is the right pick for bathrooms, mudrooms, and entryways.
Laminate is the budget option that still looks decent. Not as water-resistant as LVP.
What It Costs
- LVP installed: $4 to $9 per square foot including materials
- Hardwood installed: $9 to $18 per square foot
- Tile installed: $8 to $20 per square foot
- Laminate installed: $3 to $7 per square foot
01Can you install new flooring over my old floor?+
Sometimes. LVP and laminate can often go over existing flooring if the subfloor is solid and level. Hardwood and tile usually require removal of the old material. We assess this during the estimate.
02How long does flooring installation take?+
Most rooms can be done in one to three days. Whole-house installs typically take one to two weeks depending on size and material.
03Do I need to be home during installation?+
Not usually, as long as we have access. Many of our customers leave for work and come home to finished floors.
04Do you move furniture?+
We can help with this. Heavy furniture and pianos are usually an extra charge. Small stuff we move at no charge.
